Another Grade Five Scholarship Examination, another paper leak – and the cycle continues. This time, the Ministry of Education has been prompted to investigate allegations that Part I of the 2024 exam paper was leaked to students in Kurunegala and Ratnapura via an online platform. The news, however troubling, is not new. Time and time again, similar leaks have tainted major examinations such as the Advanced Level, turning what should be a fair academic challenge into a scandal that leaves students, parents and teachers alike questioning the integrity of the entire system.
